There are many benefits derived from Reflexology and Aromatherapy. Through the trigger points located on the palms of your hands, souls of your feet and ears, working a specific trigger point area facilitates the body's healing process. For example, individuals who suffer from personal or work related stress, carpal tunnel, depression, arthritis, migraine headaches benefit from reflexology. Scheduling a weekly or bi-weekly reflexology session can help reduce these common issues and bring a sense of balance back to your life.

REFLEXOLOGY - Based on an ancient Chinese therapy, reflexology involves manipulation of specific reflex areas in the face, feet, hands, spine, legs and ears which correspond to organs in the body. Sometimes referred to as zone therapy, this bodywork involves application of pressure to the reflex zones to stimulate the body organs and relieve symptoms of stress, pain constipation, encourage healing from surgery, arthritis or plantar fasciitis. Similar to acupressure principles, reflexology works with the body's energy flow to stimulate self-healing and maintain balance in physical function. This technique is used to reduce pain, increase relaxation, and stimulate circulation of blood and lymphatic fluids. It is especially useful in stress-related illness and emotional disorders. Reflexology is also convenient in cases where an area of the body is traumatized or diseased to the extent that direct manipulation is not appropriate.

AROMATHERAPY - The use of essential oils extracted from herbs, flowers, resin, woods, and roots are used on the body is known as aromatherapy.  Through the use of these essential oils also found in bath salts with fragrences like Peppermint, Lavender, Spearmint, Orange Citrus or Tea Tree can help awaken the senses while others reduce inflammation. Lavender brings about relaxation and calms the spirit. Used as a healing technique for thousands of years by the Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans, essential oils aid in relaxation, improve circulation. Aromatherapy diffusers are utilized to fill the massage room with the scent of the oils. Specific essential oils are blended by the aromatherapist and added to a carrier oil, and may be used during bodywork session. Each oil has its own unique characteristics and benefits.
