Why I do what I do: I do what I do because I see the benefits clients receive through the natural healing process, it makes a difference in my life and my clients. For the past 40 years, I have had an interest in naturopath and holistic healing and continue my training in order to better serve my clients.
A little bit about me: My appreciation for massage therapy was recognized at age of 19 when I gave a friend a back and neck massage after a vigorous gym workout. My friend exclaimed “I didn’t know you studied massage therapy, thanks, that was great!” my reply “I never been to massage school, I guess I just have a gift!”
In September 1997 I enrolled in and completed an 12 - week Introduction to Massage Therapy course at the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District Community Classes (Wallingford, PA) taught by a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT). Study of the Muscular Skeltal, Anatomy & Physiology were also part of the curriculum along with actual hands on practical application in the classroom.
In September 2004 I enrolled in and completed the 9-month Part-Time Evening Massage Theray program at the Massage Arts Center of Philadelphia located in Philadelphia PA. Study of the Muscular Skeletal System, Anatomy and Physiology, Reflexology and Aromatherapy. In addition to courses at MACP, I completed degree completion in June 2010 for an Associates of Science in Business Management with concentrations in Human Resources Management and a minor in Finance from Peirce College Philadelphia, PA. In June 2013 I completed a Bachelors of Science in Entrepreneurship & Small Business from Peirce College Philadelphia, PA.
As a naturopath bodyworker, I began a my practice as a Mobile Massage Practitioner in 2008 until to 2014 based in Lansdowne, PA. Mobile Services included visiting clients in their residence, Community Health Fairs, the Philadelphia Broad Street Run, Chair Massage at Lansdowne Farmers Markets. Additionally, Corporate Chair Massage for the Verizon Employee Appreciation Day and Swarthmore College.
Serving the community allowed me to offer Complimentary Private Chair Massage and Reflexology to Seniors in nursing homes (Brinton Manor, Simpson House & Fair Acers). Other services include Massage Spa Parties, Gift Certificates, Doula, working with dancers and musicians and athlete’s.
Using 100% Organic Massage Oils, Lotions and Aromatherapy Oils offers my clients the best in the industry. Through the use of top of the line products came a demand from clients for the products I use during massage sessions. I developed and created a line of Aromatherapy Gift Baskets and Handmade Aromatherapy Pillows and Satchels for purchase.
As a practitioner, I use reflexology to assist clients in healing naturally from the affects of daily stress, depression or eliminate toxins from the body. Trigger points located in the Ears, Hands and Feet directly relate to organs in the body. Reflexology, coupled with Aromatherapy can assist in pain management if you suffer from arthritis and helps to lesson inflammation in the joints. For example, Essential Oil of Eucalyptus works as an anti-inflammatory, Peppermint brings about energy and Lavender relaxation.
Reflexology Can Help Bring Balance to Your Life!
